Day 2... Making time for what matters.

Day 2, Take time for what matters.

This weekend was beautiful… I can’t even being to describe how perfect the weather was. The only down part was that my husband had a wedding to shoot and Peyton would be out of town. I had decided earlier in the week that I would take our children and go to Danville. Blake was so excited because Phenous and Pherb live in Danville. That Saturday was perfect, even though I knew I had tons of work to do around the house I knew I wouldn’t have many Saturdays like this and I wanted to enjoy them with Blake and Maddie. Here are some of the things we did and here are some of the things they said.

Blake – I can’t believe we are going to D-A-N-ville.
Maddie – I love it here mommy, we can walk on the streets.
Maddie – This has been a good day mommy. I miss daddy though.
Blake – Mommy what kind of tree is this, it has heart leaves.
Blake – Mommy can I rub this fountain water on my face to make a wish?
Maddie – Me too!
Maddie – Mommy I need a quarter instead of a penny for a wish.
Blake – Mom do you think I can get bunkbeds?

I found this on a blog... I wish I could remember where, I copied it and then closed it before reading the title, I should have taken time...
As busy as we can make ourselves feel, or sometimes as busy as we want to seem to others, there is nothing more important than just making time. For a friend. For a daughter. For someone who wants you and needs you for something. There is always something else you can do, somewhere else you can be. We all get the same amount of time each day. If we say we don’t have the time, what we really mean is that we don’t want to make the time. Because if you can’t make it for one thing, it means you made it for something else. Something else took priority.
Today, choose to make the time. Make time for yourself. Make time for someone else.  Make the time for something you’ve been putting off. I doubt you’ll regret it.

What a wonderful day with my babies. My favorite part was learning patience… because that is something I am terrible at. Slow down, take time, and make memories, the house will always be there to clean your children won’t.

The cutest cookies ever!!!!

I just have to post about these cookies, they are so stinking cute! Now usually we limit the children and sugar but when I saw these I couldn't pass them up. Six cookies came in the container and 4 markers! What a great idea! I wish I had thought of it.

Hope God blesses your day with something sweet!

Fall around our house

I love fall, I just can't get enough of it! It's so wonderful to see God's beauty. I love the smell of it, the way the leaves blow, my children's laughter from throwing leaves, everything about it! I could just soak it up like biscuits to gravy as my Gran would say! Here are some pictures of the fall around our home, I hope wherever you are you are soaking up blessings from God.

Shoes, blessing, love

A man that I work with was taking his family on vacation, not a normal vacation. One that was taking shoes to children in Africa. I am truly blessed that I got to help out at least 2 children. It's easy to take things for granted living in such a powerful nation.

Proverbs 19:1

Better is the poor who walks in his integrity.

Anyone with a mission to win someone to Christ becomes a missionary. You become a missionary because you have a mission to share the message of salvation.
